The poster below who mentions Audacity (free very easy to use) its basically this app on your PC Desktop. Audacity allows you a little more precision and additional tools, zoom in and gain more control over your track, many different standard & unique sound effects, ability to record many more tracks (possibly unlimited, i cant recall) etc. etc....if you have a good mic I believe that you can just do it all thru the PC...i am thrilled to hear that someone else is using this the same way i do, its been approximately 8 years or more since i have used this and recorded actual full songs, i must say that i was extremely pleased and proud of the results and i have been itching to get "back out there and create something that changes peoples lives"....so in summation download Audacity right now and please leave a comment on how it all goes or if you have any questions.
