Multi Track Song Recorder App Reviews

Great Product but ..

Love this little program, really great for carving out ideas. In fact, I didnt need to buy the Pro version but I did. I have both the non-paid version thats not updated and the pro version updated so I dont know where the problem originally stems but Im finding the volumes on pro version are off when I record. Ill put in an instrumental in a channel, record over it and it will barely register. I have to fully boost the recording and practically bring the instrumental to zero volume before what I recorded is audile.

App is great

Its perfect!!

Here it is

This app will do what you expect it will, and I found it does it perfectly well.

Great

Its really good.

Meh

It would be awesome if the tracks merged and exported properly. When I export them merged together, theres a third echo, so its useless outside of the app itself. Ive only noticed this recently, so maybe they need to update the app to keep up with the iOS updates. Anyway, fix it and Ill give it a good rating.

What happened to this app??

It used to be good. Every time I mix down tracks and send them to myself, the tracks are all coming in at different times. They were all recorded to the metronome at the same speed and sound fine in the app, but once mixed down, they are all off time to each other. Extremely disappointed, but I guess thats what Im supposed to expect from a free app. Useless to me.

LOVE IT!

For a free app, it works quite well. Its easy to use and has come in real handy.

Perfect for me

Love how metronome can be accessed, super easy to use!!

Good, minor bugs.

Does the job. It lets you quickly make a layered song, which is exactly what I was looking for. My only criticism would be that every once in a while, your recordings dont play in sync because of some desynchronization in the recording. Otherwise, this app is completely worth the small amount of space it uses.

This is not multi track recording

This is recording your second track onto your first track alive. And then you cant move the second track. So for instance if you want it to start sooner you cant touch the screen with your fingers and move it to an earlier point. THATS multitrack recording. This works the same as the loopers with pads. You have to do everything alive.

Almost Terrific!

This does an O.K. job of one or two tracks ( voice and guitar or banjo and harmonica) using the internal microphone on an iPad. It was the first to export tunes via email really well. However, GarageBand now exports via email and works better than this. You need to buy an external microphone before you can record voice and instruments properly.

Terrible

This app is a nice idea but has incredible issues syncing. So dont bother. The end result is horrible

What happened?

App is currently broken. The tracks become unaligned when you playback. Please fix

Its alright

Ive been looking for a multi-track recorder for quite some time, I was very happy to see this app. It does what it says, 4 tracks to record on. Decent quality sound was a pleasant surprise too. Only thing is, there is no way to adjust the start point of a track. If track 1 is 5 mins long, and track 2 is supposed to start a 2:30, you have to wait until 2:30 to start recording, and if you miss time it, the whole track will be out of balance. Would be nice if we could adjust tracks. One other thing is, there is no way to listen to the tracks youve recorded and record at the same time. You either have to guess and hope the tracks are in sync, or record on a separate device to be able to listen to it whilst you record the other tracks. All in all its a good app

Love it

It is great for recording anything especially A Capella

Garbage

Tried for 30 mins to get it to record...just dead air..dont waste your time!

Horrible

In this game you cant put songs of Apple music,YouTube, spotifi, ect

Helpful App

This is what I use the app for: I am just learning guitar. It is often helpful to have a simple chord progression to play/practice lead over. Its great to jot down ideas an its also great to record your progression of how well you are doing. I do not have experience in recording myself. But at least at a beginners standpoint, I do find this app rather helpful. I only wish it had a landscape viewing mode as well.

Decent for rough ideas, has some problems

This app is good for making very rough multi-track "notes" - rough sketches that will help you to remember ideas. The major problem is the gaping latency on overdubs, which takes this app down from a potential five star to a (generous) three. The latency probably in the range of 2.5-3ms. Its good if you want to jot some ideas down so you dont forget them, but by no means is it useful for creating working demos. I use the iPhone earbud/mic combo to monitor tracks while overdubbing.

Its Okay

This is a pretty okay app for making songs. HOWEVER. There is no way to put the songs in your camera roll, which means that you cant upload them to YouTube. I feel like that takes away a lot from the app. Youve been warned. Please make it possible to upload songs to the camera roll, and I will rate 5 stars.
